Summary

Crayon is upset!
It is a book that tells children who want to paint the sun green with "Crayon is angry!" Instead of saying No! Drew Day Walt wrote a very interesting article that focused on childrens creativity and personality and broke stereotypes。

Crayons, Pink is a color for girls only, not to write themselves on the border of pictures Pink crayons, yellow and orange crayons fighting the colors of the sun each other, blue crayons for wanting to stop doing too much work 。。。 。。。 。 There are obvious reasons for the 12-color crayons that have stopped painting。 The reasoned complaints of these crayons are not just cute。 It makes us realize how many stereotypes we are tied to。

And the paintings of Oliver Jeffers, made right at the childrens eye level, make this book more brilliant。 The cool picture of the main character Danny who solved all the winds of 12 color crayons in one sheet is a pink dinosaur, orange whale and purple。 I can not help but admire Oliver Jeffers, who perfectly depicts the wonderful world that made children and adults cheerful。
"Crayon is angry!" tells us that personality and creativity can be born when we get rid of stereotypes。 We are ranked # 1 in "Amazons Best Picture Books" and "Best New York Times" picture books。

This is another good book to talk about point of views because it is the P。O。V。 of the crayons and how they feel。 So, for elementary level students I think it is very cute and funny for them to read and then think how their crayons may feel about them!

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 i liked the book because it was all about crayons and i love to draw with crayons。 what i learn from this book is that all the crayons have expressed their feelings to Duncan, the kid。 so it gives us a lesson that you should use all crayons properly with equal importance。 if you use the crayons properly then crayons will be happy。

Cute book, with cute illustrations。 It’s a bit long-winded and some of the postcards are hard to read。 I read it with my toddler girls but there isn’t much of a message。。。。 clean up your crayons, don’t break your crayons, don’t leave them in other countries? I don’t know? A fun book but a bit hard to comprehend for toddlers。

This is a colorful story that uses personification and helps children understand and read about emotions!

I found this story under a search for children’s fantasy books from the website Elephant Books。 I did a little research and it has won numerous awards including the E。B。 White Read Aloud Award。 I didn’t have access to a physical copy of the book so I watched a read aloud of the story through YouTube。 This story is about a boy named Duncan and his crayons。 One day when Duncan was at school, he went to grab his box of crayons。 However, he finds a stack of letters over them。 Each letter is from a d I found this story under a search for children’s fantasy books from the website Elephant Books。 I did a little research and it has won numerous awards including the E。B。 White Read Aloud Award。 I didn’t have access to a physical copy of the book so I watched a read aloud of the story through YouTube。 This story is about a boy named Duncan and his crayons。 One day when Duncan was at school, he went to grab his box of crayons。 However, he finds a stack of letters over them。 Each letter is from a different colored crayon。 Some crayons explain how they are tired from being over used, other crayons don’t like that they are used outside of the lines, some crayons complain they never get used, etc。 After reading the letters Duncan realizes he can draw pictures with all different colors and it’s ok if things are unusual colors。 Duncan’s teacher says he did a wonderful job coloring and that he is very creative。 I enjoyed this book。 Each crayon seems to have its own personality which shines through in their letters。 This story is intended for children in preschool and the primary grades。 Teachers could use this story to discuss fairness and creativity。 However, the book could also be used for older students。 Teachers could use this story to discuss many topics within the content area of writing including cause and effect, tone, etc。 I would recommend using this story in a classroom。 。。。more

"The Day the Crayons Quit" is told through a series of letters addressed to a boy named Duncan。 The crayons Duncan owns use these letters to make their plights known to him, whether they are happy to be used so often, getting stubby, hardly used, ignored altogether, or are arguing over the proper color of the sun。 The book ends with Duncan creating a masterpiece in which each of the crayons gets its wish to be used in the way they requested。 These crayons have a lot of personality and the book h "The Day the Crayons Quit" is told through a series of letters addressed to a boy named Duncan。 The crayons Duncan owns use these letters to make their plights known to him, whether they are happy to be used so often, getting stubby, hardly used, ignored altogether, or are arguing over the proper color of the sun。 The book ends with Duncan creating a masterpiece in which each of the crayons gets its wish to be used in the way they requested。 These crayons have a lot of personality and the book helps students to use materials and colors in nontraditional ways。 。。。more

Such an engaging favorite to toddlers & adults alike

As a childless aspiring children’s author, I often read children’s books aloud to my adult family (for “research”)。 This book had us cackling from the very first page, and howling by the end。 It’s incredibly clever and witty。 Who knew that we all mistreated our crayons in the exact same way? And haven’t we all felt like the white crayon at some point in our lives? My only complaint is that Duncan didn’t have a 96 set。 I’d love to know what Razzmatazz has to say。

Genuinely funny for grown ups and kids。

This book is so creative and I loved the illustrations and the letter。 This book would encourage children to explore their imaginations。 I think this book would be great to read before art classes。

Cassandra Dozier

The Day the Crayons Quit by Drew Daywalt tells the story of Duncan's crayon box and how his crayons decide to go on strike for how they are used。 This story is an amazing lesson for students to learn how to problem solve。 Duncan has to rethink the way he uses his crayons to make them happy。 Kids hearing this book will understand problem solving and accommodating to help your friends。 I recommend this book for the classroom because of its amazing lessons。 The Day the Crayons Quit by Drew Daywalt tells the story of Duncan's crayon box and how his crayons decide to go on strike for how they are used。 This story is an amazing lesson for students to learn how to problem solve。 Duncan has to rethink the way he uses his crayons to make them happy。 Kids hearing this book will understand problem solving and accommodating to help your friends。 I recommend this book for the classroom because of its amazing lessons。 。。。more
